Poland - Krakow

The Checiny Town Square had an interesting religious staff stuck in a marble block. Maybe this was in memory of the period around 1318 when the treasure of the Archdiocese of Gniezno was hidden inside the Royal Castle to keep it from the invading Teutonic Knights.
